No Video This Week, we are very close to releasing the next episode, which is almost done with the editing.

Answer to the question of the week is the WRT54GS versions 1.0, 1.1 , 2.0, 2.1, and 3.0.
for the question of the week. On the WRT54GS, you want one of the early versions. V1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 2.1 or 3.0. They've all got 8 MB flash and 32 MB RAM the later versions (v 4-6) have less memory. Asshats. You think later version, better hardware, nope.
the OpenWRT hardware wiki actually has a very nice breakdown of different hardware at :http://wiki.openwrt.org/TableOfHardware#head-6b2369a6aabba3642915213936b680fdedcffe0d
Cheers guys, keep up the good work. Hacking naked during a Rhode Island winter can get pretty damn cold. That's what socks are for.
Come on guys...(and Twitchy)...Leave us semi-smug Mac users alone! They are not that bad are they? Otherwise why did Paul and Larry and numerous other Security Researchers (Hackers) buy one? I personally am enjoying running Ubuntu, FreeBSD, Windows XP, and Anonym.OS at the same time in little windows with Parallels!
I will agree though that there are some Mac users who do take this Apple/Steve Jobs is God stuff a little too far. And yes they sometimes do have problems like other PC's. (Haven't yet seen Paul and Larry use the potato launcher on their Mac Book Pros yet!)
Please don't criticize some of us who just plain think our Mac looks cooler, is quieter, and runs faster than some stupid little boring biege box!
[We knock Mac users sometimes because well, some give us normal mac users a bad name. Not all Mac users are bad, even Twitchy says so!]
P.S..Try to lay off Steve Gibson too as I have yet to hear him trash your podcast publicly. Thanks. You may now hit delete. :-)
[Maybe he will start correcting the mistakes in his podcast, maybe he will respond to our feedback. We are hard on him, but, well, ya know, he is Steve "I cry wolf" Gibson! Like that whole WMF sillyness. We have to give him a hard time. In our defense, we point out areas where he has done a good job all the time, even if we do have a song about him :)]
Oh, and One More Thing...
If it wasn't for Apple and their awesome Video iPod and iTunes then I probably would have never heard about the PaulDotCom Podcast and Video Podcast. Been a listener since Podcast number 1.
Thanks Apple and PaulDotCom! End of Smug Rant!
[Thanks for listening, and yeah Apple isn't all bad, the iPod/iTunes combo works for many people, including myself. However, I am growing more an more annoyed with it and will soon be seeking alternatives.]
