From wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth) :
[Bluetooth] operates in the license-free ISM band at 2.45 GHz. In order to avoid interfering with other protocols which use the 2.45 GHz band, the Bluetooth protocol divides the band into 79 channels (each 1 MHz wide) and changes channels up to 1600 times per second.
:-)
I know I can't win, but here is my answer..
Channels - 79 1MHz channels
Hops - 1600 per second
Band - 2.4 GHz

and hops when it encounters interference.

Larry and Paul,
Great show last week. I especially enjoyed the dialogue relating the number of cats and story time with Nick. I am currently moving into a new position at my company and wondered how each of you guys got your start so I can begin to master the ways of being 1337.
Love the kung fu, keep up the good work.

Hey Gents
just listened to #20. Hey a trivia question that I knew!
Hedy LaMarr, screen name of Hedwig Markey, and
George Antheil received patent 2,292,387 (Aug 1942) for a "Secret Communication System" frequency hopping radio system that was a "security through obsurity" system for radio control of military devices (torpedoes of all things).
Great reading, keep up the great posts.
Peace, JiggaDigga
